Application Development Using Visual Basic and .NET Mediafire Download
A companion book to Introduction to Visual Basic Using .NET, this book does a very good job of duplicating a minimum of information and expanding into new territory. The emphasis here is on system building rather than training. Instead of language fundamentals such as syntax and the Visual Studio IDE, this book provides the goods on the things you need to know to actually build a system such as Assemblies and Deployment, Remoting, and Interoperability.
Companion technologies like GDI+, ADO.NET, and ASP.NET have major sections in this book. Web Services and the XML family of technologies are covered in detail as well.
The examples in the book are selected for their business value as much as to illustrate the technical points in the book. (The travel industry seems to be favored for most of them.) Like the companion book in the series, the code examples are clearly identified and are available on the authors' web site, Object Innovations.
